First Aid Level 2
This 1.5 day course is ideal for first aiders in workplaces and anyone wanting to learn first aid. First Aid Level 2 includes all course content from First Aid Level 1, plus an additional half day.
- The additional half day covers the NZQA standard 6400 and includes head and spinal injuries, heat or cold illnesses, and multiple casualties.
- Take our First Aid Refresher course within 2 years of completing this course for a time and cost saving re-certification
- Eligible for NZQA unit standards 6400, 6401 and 6402

In this course, our in-depth lessons and scenario-based activities will give you:
- the confidence to recognise and treat everything from common injuries to life-threatening medical emergencies, multiple casualties and more scene-specific emergency first aid
- the skills to offer vital assistance and CPR before more experienced help arrives
- a First Aid Level 2 certificate valid for 2 years upon successful completion

Recognise and provide first aid for:

Recognise and provide basic life support including:
(Covers NZQA 6402)
Recognise and manage serious emergencies of:
(Covers NZQA 6400)
Attendees must be:
- physically capable of kneeling on the floor to do CPR
- able to complete assessments in English
- 14 years or older
- aware day 1 is a full day starting at 8.30am and finishing at 5pm. Day 2 is a half day starting at 8.30am and finishing at 12.30pm
